WGBH radio
According to the latest news, WGBH radio has set the new midday talk shows with a Boston focus. Radio is a very good and easy source of entertainment. This “The Ernily Rooney Show,” is hosted by WGBG-TV’s “greater Boston” the host catches at noon on 89.7 FM. This is the one hour show that will be focusing on local news and the public affairs. With this, it also features a segment called“What are you hearing?” along with the commentary from local analyst and experts. Wow this is truly great news.
The Rooney’s program is followed by “The Callie Crossely Show”, hosted by the all famous commentator of “Beat the Press”; also this will enter on current events and also as local and regional culture and arts.
With this, the news shows are a part of WGBH’s effort to reinvent 89.7 FM as full-time news and information radio station. While the Crossley’s and Rooney shows serves as the attraction of WGBH’s new radio lineup.
The WGBH bought classical music station WCRB-FM 99.5 for $14 million. And that purchased allowed WGBH to move its classical music programming to WCRB to conserve the station as Boston’s majorly full classical outlet. WGBH is also allowed to change its station at 89.7 FM to all talk and news to complete up with WBUR-FM 90.9, WBZ-AM1030 and another NPR affiliate.
Since the switch over to all-news earlier, WBGH has added two NPR programs to it schedule, including “the Diane Rehm show” and “Fresh Air with Terry Gross”. WGBH had already been freshening NPR programs” Morning Edition” and all Things Considered”.
So WGBH began broadcasting its afternoon radio version of its weekly boston TV media discussion program, “Beat The Press,” featuring Crossley and Rooney. So I am following it are you?
