Radio consultants
United Radio, one of the top UK based radio consultants to have created a milestone in India’s radio history by establishing a direct operational medium in India. According to this new system, the venture will now be thus providing all its services to the existing investors, operators and regulatory bodies. This will lead all the Indian radio stations to draw up an international experience and hence improve the ratings and also the revenues.
This UK based consultancy, has the experience of working in the Indian radio market as it has already been the consultant to a Malayalam radio, Manorama’s Radio Mango. The company provided great music support to broadcast music and technical programming skills in the past. And this was the main reason how it went ahead with its Indian venture without having to face any hurdles.
The consultancy company also provides its clients with their intensive business planning and support facilities that are very important for all the new radio stations in order to make good money from them. The main focus of the United Radio India is to create the new program formats, provide great training programs in the field of radio journalism, setting newsrooms and designing the formats for station management, etc. However, all these facilities will be offered after the official launch of this UK based consultancy company by Ambika Soni, the honorable Minister if Information & Broadcasting. This launch was made a reality on the Monday, 9th of November, this year.
Radio news agency
The company is also undertaking several discussions with the other companies to simply establish India’s very first radio news agency. This agency will offer all the content for the news and the other interesting current affair news that will be delivered directly to the various radio stations or through the single source of the All India Radio.
Paul Chantler, the director of the consultancy said, “Our services will supplement the experience Indian operators have gathered over the last three years. We bring to India the knowledge and insights of the UK radio industry which is nearly 30 years old and has seen virtually every phase of market development. United Radio partners have worked for almost all the large radio companies in the UK. Between us we also have the experience of working with the country’s regulatory authority, Ofcom, and the public service broadcaster, the BBC. Here too we would like to approach the regulator, the Public Broadcaster and other stakeholders to offer our services”.
