The NAB Marconi Radio Awards nomination process has started on the 1st of May 2010. There are various categories in which this award is given for the broadcasting company. Most of these broadcasting companies have people working hard and the presence of this radio award is a motivation to people who are working in this field.
The use of various other entertainment and communication means has decreased the number of broadcasting companies and has also caused stiff competition in the field of broadcasting. In this scenario, the role played by the Marconi Radio Awards in bringing a sense of camaraderie in the people working in various broadcasting companies is tremendous.
The Marconi Radio Awards nomination process also unites the various people in the field of radio and broadcasting to set apart their differences and nominate the best people in the profession. There are various categories in which these radio awards are given and the nominations are for Station of the Year by Market Size. The next category is for the Station of the Year by Format categories. The above two categories are similar, but these are different Marconi awards.
The other radio awards are for the outstanding air personalities in the Personality of the Year by Market Size category. This identifies the best person in the field of broadcasting. The other nomination is for the Legendary Station. This identifies the radio station that is legendary in nature and the radio award is presented to this station. The final Marconi award is for the Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year.
The nominations for these radio awards can be submitted online to the NAB site. Though May 31st is the last date for receiving the nominations for the Marconi awards, the actual finalists for the awards will be announced only in the month of July. The NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy selects and announces the winners on September 30th at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show at the Radio Show in Washington, DC.
