Radios have their own charm, especially when they play your favorite music and programs like the RTL 2, currently called the RTL II.
This privately owned radio was originally founded in the year 1993, in the form of a second generation commercial radio broadcaster that entertained people with its variant programs. The RTL 2 radio is a basically a private radio, broadcasting commercial programs, especially the German Television Channels. The radio became famous mainly due to its apparent trash programming that also comprises of a huge collection if soft porn. The radio also has a collection of shows for instance, PEEP and a number of other pseudo documentaries that are known largely for their nudity. However, even after dropping all of its erotic programs somewhere in the late 2001, the bad dingy reputation of the radio hasn’t really boosted.
The RTL 2 radio today, hosts a number of episodes and updates of various local shows such as, Big brother, and other licensed primetime series of Stargate SG-1 and 24. The radio also hosts a number of documentary soaps. The radio has also added a lot of effort in enhancing its reputation by adding several programs that are tied up with the scientific magazines and other documentaries. These changes are made to experience a change in the response of people for the radio.
The RTL 2 radio channel also hosts a news cast that specifically covers stories for the youngsters as compared to the other important stories across the country. The newscast covers stories like the CD release of the different artists or the new game releases that hit the stores. And due to these reasons, the license of the radio has reached its peril. This is so because the minimum requirement of a German broadcaster is to feature atleast a few important events along with the basic traditional news. The RTL 2 radio channel is also known for broadcasting Bollywood movies dubbed in the regional languages. And so, the channel has always been in news for various wrong and also right reasons at a very frequent basis.
